LJB Wins Fall Protection Contract with U.S. General Services Administration

Last week, LJB signed a contract to support the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Office of Facilities Management with fall protection engineering consulting services. Through the Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contract, LJB will provide a variety of fall protection services, including:

  • Roof inspection
  • Inspection, testing and certification of rooftop equipment
  • Inspection of other equipment and components for elevated access
  • Fall protection training
  • Construction oversight
  • Fall protection equipment or configuration design

The GSA Public Buildings Service (PBS) provides realty and property management services for federal government agencies nationwide. Its real estate portfolio includes more than 375 million square feet, including owned and leased office buildings, courthouses, laboratories, and warehouses.

This BPA contract is national in scope and may be used by all 11 GSA Regions, as well as the Central Office in Washington, D.C. The contract, which has an estimate of work of just over $4 million, takes effect this week for a base period of one year, with four option years, through March 2024.

“The GSA has worked hard to establish and maintain an effective fall protection program,” said LJB’s HSE practice leader, Kirk Phillips. “Providing access to fall protection experts will give each region the resources it needs to fulfill the needs of the GSA’s robust program.”
