At a June 17 event, LJB Inc., a facility and infrastructure design firm headquartered in Kettering, Ohio, will receive an official charter into the Toastmasters International organization. The charter officially establishes LJB’s Toastmasters Club as a member in the organization, joining the 11,500 other clubs worldwide.

 

Toastmasters International is a world leader in helping people become more competent and comfortable in front of an audience by providing a framework for practicing and honing communication and leadership skills. When LJB was looking for a way to offer similar leadership development opportunities, the firm decided to establish a corporate Toastmasters Club. 

 

The June 17 charter event—scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at LJB’s headquarters in Kettering—will feature a keynote speech by Gary Mull, who is a Toastmasters International Director, professional speaker, consultant, author and humorist. Attendees will include members from other local Toastmasters clubs, LJB Toastmasters members and potential members.
