LJB director of safety services named Safety Trainer of the Year
SafetyXChange, an online community for safety professionals, recently named LJB Inc.’s Thomas Kramer , P.E., C.S.P., the Safety Trainer of the Year. The annual recognition is presented during the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Conference.
The Safety Trainer of the Year Saxcie™ is awarded to a safety professional who exhibits individual success and leadership in the field of safety training.
Through LJB's training programs, Kramer has successfully educated hundreds of maintenance workers and safety personnel. He was nominated for this Saxcie award by Marathon Petroleum Company, for whom LJB has provided a significant amount of fall protection training.
Kramer was recognized for his effectiveness as a trainer by fostering the development of participants' insights and skills that will help them develop and implement their own comprehensive, cost-effective and attainable fall hazard control program.
Kramer, a structural engineer with more than 10 years of experience, directs LJB's Safety by Design® service. As a dually registered professional engineer and certified safety professional, he has spent much of his career consulting with clients on the investigation and renovation of facilities, which often requires extensive and creative structural and safety modifications. He specializes in the assessment and design of fall protection systems. Mr. Kramer is a member of the ANSI Z359 Committee and chairs the subcommittee that develops standards for the design of active fall protection systems (ANSI Z359.6).
