Scott joined LJB in 1992 as a structural engineer. He is currently a principal with the firm, a professional safety trainer for LJB University, the firm's in-house training division, and director for LJB's management services, including owner's representation.
In his career, Scott has led the design of building foundations, building structures, cranes, material handling systems, equipment foundations and fall protection systems. With a wealth of experience in heavy industry as a facilities engineer, he is a respected authority in facility maintenance and safety. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering and has professional engineering registrations in 29 states as well as a certified plant engineering and certified safety professional license.
Scott is a member of Leadership Dayton (Class of 2009) as well as the American Society of Civil Engineers. As an alumnus of the University of Cincinnati, he actively visits and shares his professional experiences with engineering students at UC. A people person and talented story teller, Scott communicates technical information in a fun, exploratory way. He likes to problem solve and walk his audiences through his investigative methods.
