This 8-hour training program is for anyone who uses fall protection equipment. The goal of LJB’s authorized person training is to provide participants with the knowledge to use fall protection properly in their daily work and to become aware of issues before they arise. The course provides interactive instruction, multimedia resources, and knowledge checks to train attendees to the authorized person level.

This competent person fall protection training program delivers the same content as our fully instructor led course, but provides a more convenient format for some learners. This course includes online self-study modules that require approximately 10-15 hours to complete, but can be consumed at each individual’s convenience. The online portion is followed by an instructor-led classroom session. With a baseline of information already learned, the time spent in the classroom is minimized to two days.

This five-day, 40-hour comprehensive competent person training program is for anyone who develops or impacts fall protection policy, as well as those involved with design practices, facility or production modifications and equipment procurement. One of the main themes of this course is the use of the hierarchy of control for abating identified fall hazards. The goal of LJB’s competent person training is to provide participants with the knowledge to solve fall protection issues before they arise.

This advanced program is designed to provide training for those whose work involves the need to address fall protection issues, to supervise workers at heights, and who are responsible for design related projects.

This course includes interactive explanation of the use of fall protection systems and rescue procedures, concluding with procedural practice at ground elevation or a protected location. The goal of this course is to train system users and/or their supervisors in the specific use and rescue procedures for performing work at heights.
