LJB Hires Former KYTC Manager to Expand KY Operations

To support the firm’s strategic growth plans in the Kentucky Transportation market, LJB has hired former Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) Engineering Branch Manager, Joel Holcomb, P.E. Working from LJB’s Louisville office, Holcomb will manage transportation projects and expand on LJB’s existing portfolio of work with KYTC and municipalities in Kentucky.

Holcomb brings more than 30 years of experience working for KYTC in multiple divisions, giving him a varied and unique perspective into many facets of highway design. Within KYTC, Holcomb served as Branch Manager for Project Development and Engineering Support and managed multi-million-dollar projects, including efficient and effective utility relocation, right of way acquisition and plan development.

“Joel’s expertise and experience will help LJB continue our service to Kentuckians to make their roadways safer and improve quality of life.” said Andy Shahan, P.E., P.S., PMP, operations manager for LJB’s Transportation practice.

“LJB has demonstrated quality and experience in many aspects of transportation engineering, and I’m excited to be part of this growing team,” said Holcomb. “I look forward to leading growth in Kentucky through excellent project delivery and superior service.”
