LJB Hires Senior Traffic Project Manager and Technical Advisor

To support the firm’s commitment to providing expert transportation services in the Southeast, LJB has hired Tommy Pate, P.E., as a Senior Traffic Project Manager and Technical Advisor. Working from LJB’s Raleigh, NC, office, Pate focuses on traffic forecasting, traffic impact analysis studies, parking studies, and design.

Pate brings 17 years of experience in traffic engineering, including projects with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), other state and local government organizations, universities, and private developers. In his previous roles, he served as the traffic engineering consultant for numerous municipalities in North Carolina, and he worked closely with NCDOT on a number of long-term contracts, including the Strategic Transportation Prioritization and Express Design Evaluations programs.

Joining LJB’s experienced infrastructure team in North Carolina, Pate’s experience expands the firm’s growing portfolio in the region, which includes NCDOT and municipal on-call contracts, municipal transportation improvements, water resources projects, and private site design.

“Tommy’s subject matter expertise in traffic operations and studies enhances our full-service transportation team and improves our ability to serve the growing and changing transportation needs in the Southeast,” said LJB VP of Operations, Mike Surasky.

“I am excited to use my experience to further LJB’s commitment of providing innovative solutions that improve mobility and enhance safety for all users,” said Pate.
