LJB Inc. is pleased to welcome Loren Sokolow, ENV SP, to its board of directors. Sokolow now serves as one of four independent outside directors for the national engineering firm that works with a variety of public and private sector clients.
Sokolow has more than 40 years of experience as a financial and operations executive, with special expertise in professional services financial strategies, sustainability, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. Prior to his retirement in 2019, he served as CFO and Treasurer of Psomas (Los Angeles, CA)—a $100 million engineering firm.
Within the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry, Sokolow has also served on several other corporate boards and regularly volunteers his expertise with multiple industry associations. In 2019, he was recognized with the American Council of Engineering Company’s Distinguished Service Award, as well as with the CFO of the Year “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Los Angeles Business Journal.
“Loren’s direct experience and broad network in the AEC industry, coupled with his proven business acumen, will be invaluable as LJB continues to grow and diversify organically and through acquisition,” said LJB CEO Rod Sommer.

Sokolow replaces outgoing independent director Peter Harding, President of Lindenmeyr Central (Purchase, NY), who served a maximum term of six years.
