LJB Inc. is pleased to welcome Michael Gearhardt to its board of directors. Gearhardt is serving as one of four independent outside directors for the national engineering firm that works with a variety of public and private sector clients.
Gearhardt is well known in the Dayton business community, having served in key executive positions at MTC Technologies, Mark IV Industries/Dayco and JBK Manufacturing & Development. He has earned a reputation as a driven leader with a history of creating value, identifying creative solutions and championing change. Gearhardt has completed multiple acquisitions and divestitures, and he has a demonstrated history of increasing sales and growing businesses.
“Having someone with Mike’s experience and proven success will certainly support our ongoing growth strategy,” said LJB CEO Rod Sommer. “His ability to pinpoint organizational strengths and his history of creative problem-solving will prove invaluable as a board member for LJB.”
“I’m very impressed with LJB’s commitment to think bigger,” said Gearhardt. “I look forward to lending my expertise to help steer the company’s continued progress.”
Gearhardt replaces outgoing independent director Nathan McKean, CEO of Breckenridge Material Company in St. Louis, Missouri, who served a maximum term of six years.
The seven-member board includes three LJB employees, or internal directors. Mike Stanoikovich, LJB’s director of corporate development, was newly elected to serve a three-year term. LJB CEO Rod Sommer was reelected to serve as board chair.
