LJB has been designing tilt-up buildings since the early 1970s – long before the benefits of tilt-up were globally realized. In the beginning, we operated as CON/STEEL Tilt-Up Systems and the CON/STEEL Alliance. Today, LJB's experience, expertise and continual innovation in tilt-up design have made us a leader in the growing tilt-up industry.

LJB’s team has designed more than 1,600 projects with tilt-up construction, and we focus on adding value early in the project that can save time and money during construction.

LJB has developed proprietary construction drawings and standard details that comprise a proven method for design-build site cast tilt-up construction. Our approach translates into efficient field production and higher quality construction for our clients.

As a leader in the tilt-up industry, LJB has been involved in the development of numerous design advancements with the method, including innovative solutions for multi-story tilt-up. LJB is also a pioneer in progressive collapse avoidance design and blast resistance for tilt-up concrete wall panels.

Several LJB professionals have been actively involved in leadership roles in the industry including past presidents of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA), TCA executive board member, ACI 551 Tilt-Up Committee chair, co-chair for both the ACI design and construction guides for tilt-up concrete.
