Belleview Road Emergency Culvert Replacement

  •

When flood waters caused the North Belleview Road culverts to wash out completely, LJB developed a proposed solution, with cost and schedule, within a week. Within the month, LJB mobilized the team, started design and performed survey to move the culvert replacement project forward. LJB also worked with the city to earn 100% construction funding through the state. The project was completed under budget and on schedule and opened to traffic less than eight months from the washout. The new culvert is a concrete pre-cast arch structure with a wider span that will reduce maintenance efforts to remove storm debris and will pass the design-year storms with no impact on the downstream floodplain and properties.
