BNSF Railway Bridge Hydraulic Analysis

  •

For Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway, LJB provided a site survey and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis in support of floodplain permitting for the replacement of the existing timber pile trestle bridge. Bridge 186.10 is located in a Zone AE floodplain with a regulatory floodway for Slate Creek. LJB created a digital 1D corrected effective model in the latest version of HEC-RAS. The proposed replacement structure was designed to meet a no-rise certification in support of obtaining a floodplain permit from Harvey County.
