At Texas A&M University’s RELLIS Campus, LJB delivered full structural design for the Rellis Data and Research Center—a 45,000-square-foot, two-story data facility supporting cloud services and hands-on learning. The building shell features load-bearing tilt-up concrete panels and a conventional steel-framed structure, with drilled pier foundations and composite slab-on-metal deck systems. LJB’s scope included structural drawings for floors, roof, tilt-up walls, and braced frames, along with a detailed Revit model. We supported all design phases and performed two site visits to ensure construction aligned with our drawings. This data center supports student and faculty research through the RELLIS Academy, making this a mission-aligned project with real educational impact.
