Empire West Building 10

LJB provided structural engineering for Empire West Building 10, a 640,000-square-foot, cross-docked warehouse in Brookshire, Texas. The building features a 40-foot clear height with drilled pier foundations, structural steel framing and load-bearing tilt-up concrete wall panels. Its large footprint required expansion joints and coordination of multiple interior steel frames to limit impacts on future tenant subdivision. The project received a 2026 Tilt-Up Achievement Award from the Tilt-Up Concrete Association.

Building 10 continued LJB’s significant contribution to the Empire West business park, which has included structural design for three Phase 1 warehouses totaling 1 million square feet and four Phase 2 warehouses totaling 1.28 million square feet.
