LJB designed the improvement and widening of a major arterial roadway that services recreation-oriented properties, as well as offices, schools, a small residential area, and retail commercial development. This project widened the road with the addition of left turn lanes, a bike path, landscaped medians, decorative lighting and storm drainage improvements, including curbs and gutters. Existing traffic signals were upgraded and interconnected to allow for optimization, and signage was upgraded to better define lane utilization. LJB prepared conventional maintenance of traffic control plans with overhead guide signs and median delineation, and no closures needed to complete the project. This allowed for continuous access to a major tourist attraction.
