Atlantic Packaging

LJB provided structural design of this 469,000-square-foot end-loaded build-to-suit manufacturing facility, built with conventional structural steel and perimeter load-bearing precast concrete walls. The building has a 36-foot clear height, 30 exterior dock positions and three oversized drive-in doors, and the design allows for the expansion of five additional exterior dock positions. Owner Atlantic Packaging built this state-of-the-art packaging facility for tenant York Container.

The project overcame supply chain delays and shortages by focusing on changing market demands. In the end, York Container was able to occupy the space before the initial schedule predicted.

This project was a 2023 finalist for “Industrial Build-to-Suit Development of the Year” at NAIOP Chicago.
