LJB provided civil engineering services for the IDEXX Horizon Center, a 114,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on a 25-acre site in Scarborough, Maine. The center brought research and development laboratories, flexible manufacturing space, a high-bay warehouse, offices and employee amenities together in one facility designed to support IDEXX Laboratories’ continued growth. As an early anchor project in a new 154-acre innovation district, the project also helped establish a foundation for future development in the area. The project team worked across disciplines to meet strict performance and regulatory requirements while maintaining an aggressive schedule.
The project earned an ENR East 2025 Best Projects Award.
