Stream Mitigation Monitoring for West Perimeter Road

LJB monitored stream mitigation and created a Mitigation Monitoring Report to document the results of impacts that occurred due to a culvert extension at the Dayton International Airport, which impacted a total of 1,575 linear feet of stream.

The stream mitigation has been implemented at Englewood MetroPark, a Five Rivers MetroParks property on River Road, approximately three miles west of the impact site. The enhancements included 2.7 acres of invasive species removal and 4.1 acres of reforestation.

The mitigation included monitoring vegetation, assessing stream stability, and physical and chemical removal of invasive species (e.g., honeysuckle).
