5801 University Research Center

This three-story, 75,000-square-foot commercial office building is located within a mixed-use environment at the University of Maryland’s Research Park. Designed to meet LEED Silver certification, the building offers ground floor retail and office space.

The entire perimeter of the building consists of tilt-up concrete wall panels. At the primary entrance, tilt-up panels were held back to allow for cantilevered framing and expansive glass. The west end has setback glazing to allow a covered walkway under the building footprint.

A loading dock is positioned on the cardinal east side of the building with private entry access.

5801 University Research Center is a 2019 Tilt-Up Achievement Award winner.
