Aileron Campus Development

At this LEED Gold certified innovative entrepreneurial learning center for business executives and emerging entrepreneurs, LJB provided civil, site-structural, traffic and environmental engineering services throughout the 114-acre site.

Project components included a .25-mile entrance roadway, traffic design, parking lots, abutments for a vehicle bridge and a pedestrian bridge; grading; stormwater management; environmentally friendly water and wastewater treatment systems; wetland design, delineation and mitigation; polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) remediation; landfill restoration; advanced and conventional surveying; and the design of retaining walls for grade separations on the property. In designing the new wetland, which surrounds a pond that has dual use as a visual feature and a stormwater retention basin,

LJB services included Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, obtaining wetland permitting and overseeing construction. The onsite wastewater treatment and stormwater management systems took into account erosion and sediment control, pollution prevention and future land use.
