Perched on the edge of Bald Head Cliff, The Cliff House has welcomed guests since 1872. Our team led the site design and permitting for the redevelopment of this iconic 70-acre property, blending modern enhancements with the historic charm that makes the resort so beloved. The 225-room luxury resort stand as one of the most captivating coastal destinations in New England.

The project included major upgrades, such as the renovation of two existing buildings and a 22,000-square-foot expansion. New amenities include event lawns, swimming pools, scenic walkways, and trails. To enhance the guest and residential experience, we reimagined the access drive with one-way traffic and cobble pavers, while the signature entrance and porte-cochere create a striking sense of arrival.

Special attention was given to preserving the resort’s historic appeal, respecting nearby residential neighbors, and accommodating summer operations through careful construction phasing. Permitting included local site plan revisions and approvals from Maine DEP for development and natural resource protection.
